Respect your competition

All too often, people disparage the competition. “They’re fools. I can’t understand how they stay in business!” I think that attitude is part of the male psyche that dominates sales teams. Me, I love competition. Competition forces us to improve our products and services. Moreover, I respect my competition. If they really are grossly incompetent, they would be out of business already. But they are thriving. They have figured out how to succeed. Our job is to figure out how to be better, while being profitable. Bring ’em on.
