At the end of the day, we’re fed up with cliches

I couldn’t have said it better myself: “Plain English supporters around the world have voted ‘At the end of the day’ as the most irritating phrase in the language.” Read more on the Plain English campaign website (scroll down to the article).

It’s especially funny to hear the French now saying “A la fin de la journee.”
