It’s the little differences

Before this week, it had been a long time since I had spent real time in Paris. I’ve tried to cut down on my travel since Ari was born. So this week reminds me about the little differences.

There are many things I admire: the food, the walking, the joie de vivre. There’s nothing quite like walking around Paris after dinner. On the other hand, there are plenty of things that I miss from home: lack of smoking, the weather, the practicality.

I guess I’m staying in SF for a while. It comes closest to my perfect blend of Europe and America.
